Counselling

All of us need help at different times in our lives.  St Martin's is a caring community that reaches out to one another to provide support and love.  We are equipped with specialists who are available to you.

St Martin's has a number of trained Counsellors who are able to help those in need.  Counsellors are trained through Anglicare or Lifeline and undergo supervision through the Family Life Centre in Johannesburg.

The services offered are as follows:

  • Marriage preparation
  • Marriage counselling
  • Grief counselling
  • General life-crisis support
  • Divorce counselling
  • Trauma support
  • Depression support (and we also host a Depression Support Group on the last Monday evening of every month at 17h30)

Should anyone need help, they are welcome to contact the church office, and they will be referred to a counsellor.  Religious affiliation is not a condition, and confidentiality is assured.
